      <title>Kuhn Hits Career High in Women's Basketball Loss to Nichols</title>

      <description>Worcester, MA --- Lyndsey Bennett drained a pair of 3-pointers in the final 1:33 to propel Nichols to a 70-59 win over WPI in the opening game of the Worcester City Women's Basketball Tournament hosted by Worcester State on Friday evening.  The contest was a rematch of last season's ECAC New England championship game won by WPI.</description>

      <description>Worcester, MA --- WPI standout field hockey back Kelly Johnson has been selected to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) New England East Region second team.  It marks the second time the senior has been honored as all-region.  Johnson was named to the second team as a freshman in 2006. Johnson had the rare distinction of leading WPI this season in both goals (11) and defensive saves (10).</description>

      <title>Robinson Powers Men's Basketball to Worcester County Classic Crown</title>

      <description>Worcester, MA ---  Tournament MVP Jeff Robinson poured in a career-best 29 points to help lead WPI to a 101-64 win over Worcester State to earn their seventh straight Worcester County Classic Monday evening at Harrington Auditorium. It marked the second consecutive night that Robinson hit a new career high in scoring.  The junior drained 10 of 20 shots with three 3-pointers after dropping in 28 points in an opening round win over Becker.</description>

      <description>Worcester, MA --- Nichols' Bryan Riley nailed a layup and canned a free throw in the final 30 seconds to help Nichols hold off Becker 76-73 in the consolation game of the Worcester County Classic hosted by WPI.  Riley connected on a spin-move layup with 29 seconds remaining to give Nichols a 75-71 advantage. The Bison improve to 1-1 on the young season while the Hawks dip to 0-2.</description>

With the win, WPI wins its 13th straight Worcester City Tournament game and starts the season with a victory for the eighth year in a row. Becker begins its 2009 campaign at 0-1.</description>

Fourth-seeded WPI's semifinal with eighth-seeded Plymouth State will now be played on Sunday at 2:30pm (note new time).  Second-seeded University of New England and sixth-seeded Endicott will now tangle at noon on Sunday.</description>
