Men's Crew Caps Great Season with Strong Sunday at ECACs
Worcester, MA --- WPI Men's Crew completed its historic season on Sunday the ECAC Championships on Lake Quinsigamond. The varsity eight placed second in the petite final, defeating New England nemesis Wesleyan for the first time all season as well as the top ranked boat in the country (Virginia). The second varsity earned a bronze medal in its grand final while the third varsity took first in the petite final.

Women's Crew Varsity Four Earns Silver Medal at ECAC's
Worcester, MA --- The WPI womens varsity four rowed to an impressive second place finish at the ECAC Championships on Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday. The boat, which includes Amanda Ruksznis, Kyla Bye-Nagel, Bridget Stevens, Katie Siering and Allison DiNitto, fought to a third place finish in the semifinal race before posting a time of 8:05.325 to take home the silver medal for WPI.

Men's Crew Varsity Eight Advances to ECAC Semifinals
Worcester, MA --- For the first time in program history, WPI's Varsity Eight has reached the semifinals of the ECAC Championships. The Engineers earned the spot in Sunday's semis with a strong row in their afternoon heat on Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday afternoon. WPI placed third in a time of 6:10.576, just behind top-ranked Virgina and Ithaca and just ahead of UNH.

Arredondo Third in Hammer at New Balance Qualifying Challenge
Randalls Island, NY --- Select members of the mens track and field team competed at the New Balance Qualifying Challenge in New York. Although the meet included no team scoring, several WPI athletes turned in outstanding performances. Jarrett Arredondo led the way for the Engineers with a third place finish (169-3) in the hammer throw. Freshman Jeff Baker tossed the javelin 184-8 to take home fifth.
