Walsh, Galligan, Kokolis and Julian Help Baseball Complete Sweep of JWU
East Providence, RI --- Seniors Joe Walsh, Paul Galligan and Jameson Kokolis all belted two-run homers and freshman Alex Julian tossed seven strong innings on the mound to spark undefeated WPI to a 9-1 road win over Johnson & Wales in a non-conference baseball matchup on Thursday afternoon. The victory secured a mid-week sweep for the Engineers as the Crimson and Gray won the first contest 8-4 on Tuesday.

Saturday's Softball Doubleheader Shifted from Anna Maria to WPI
Worcester, MA --- The site of WPI Softball's northern opening doubleheader on Saturday has been moved from Anna Maria to WPI. Start time for the twinbill, which the AMCATS will be the home team, remains at 12 noon. The Engineers posted a 6-2 record last week on its annual spring break trip to the Fort Myers/Cape Coral, FL area. The six victories tripled the win total from the 2009 trip.

Robinson Picks Up All-ECAC New England Third Team Honor
Cape Cod, MA --- WPI men’s basketball player Jeffery Robinson has been selected to the All-ECAC New England third team. It’s the third honor for the junior in the last two week as the junior garnered first team All-NEWMAC honors and second team All-D3hoops.com Northeast region accolades. Robinson is the first Engineer to be honored as an All-ECAC player since Antoine Coleman grabbed first team honors in 2008.

Big Innings Propels Undefeated Baseball by Johnson & Wales
East Providence, RI --- WPI scored eight straight runs to erase an early deficit en route to a 8-4 victory over host Johnson & Wales in a non-conference baseball contest played on Tuesday afternoon. The Engineers, who are receiving votes in the latest D3baseball.com Top 25, improve to 7-0 on the spring while the Wildcats slip to 0-9.
