Football Has Early Lead Slip Away in Road Loss at Susquehanna
Selinsgrove, PA --- Quarterback Rich Palazzi tossed five touchdowns to help Susquehanna rally from an early two touchdown deficit to defeat visiting WPI 35-21 in Liberty League football action on Saturday afternoon. WPI signal caller Mike Swanton threw for one score and ran for another as WPI slipped to 3-6 (0-6 LL). The Engineers will close out their 2009 season next Saturday when they host St. Lawrence at noon.

Men's Soccer Sees Season Come to an End with Loss to Babson in NEWMAC Semifinals
Babson Park, MA --- Jimmy Stent scored one goal and assisted another to help lift top-seeded host Babson to a 2-1 victory over visiting fourth seed WPI in the semifinals of the 2009 NEWMAC Men's Soccer Tournament at Hartwell-Rogers Field on Saturday. WPI, whose goal was scored by Thomas Cucinotta on an assist by Tommy Zajac in the 81st minute, finishes its season with a record of 10-7-1.

Men's Swimming and Diving Falls at Keene State, 157-127
Keene, NH --- Eric Spazzarini posted two first and two second-place results to lead WPI in a 159-126 defeat at Keene State in men's swimming and diving action on Saturday. Spazzarini took home wins in the 100-yard backstroke and 400-yard IM, while finishing second in the 200-yard backstroke and as part of the 200-yard medley relay along with Lee Chiang, Alford Green and Steve Rose.

Women's Swimming and Diving Upended at Keene State, 159-126
Keene, NH --- Junior diver Morgan Guardino won both the one-meter and three-meter dives to lead the Engineers, who suffered a 159-126 loss at Keene State in women's swimming and diving action on Saturday afternoon. Guardino's victories in the one-meter (215.25) and three-meter (223.29) dives provided 18 points to WPI in a losing effort.
