Champagne Garners Football's First Academic All American Honor
Worcester, MA --- WPI’s Aaron Champagne has been named an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America (Co-SIDA). The junior running back earned second team accolades and is the first football player in program history to earn Academic All-American honors.

O'Connor's 23 Lead Women's Basketball to 88-57 Win Over Thomas
Worcester, MA --- Caitlin O'Connor poured in a career-high 23 points, while Theresa Logan, Melissa Kuhn and Elle Fontaine were also in double-figures, to lead WPI to a 88-57 victory over visiting Thomas on Tuesday evening. The win evens the Engineers' record at 2-2 on the season. WPI's 88 points equal the most WPI has scored in a game in five years, tying last year's squad's 88-point effort vs. Sage at the Land of Magic Classic.

Men's Basketball Improves to 4-0 with 76-74 Road Win at Framingham
Framingham, MA --- Jeffrey Robinson scored 19 of game-high 27 points in the second half to help WPI eek out a 76-74 victory over host Framingham State in non-conference men's basketball action on Tuesday evening. The win pushes WPI's record to 4-0 while the Rams fall to 1-3 on the young season. With the game tied at 70, Ben Etten drained one of the two free throws with 1:34 remaining to give WPI a lead it would not relinquish.
