WPI Volleyball Defeats Bay Path 3-0

Holyoke, MA --- Setter Nikki Croteau (Wilbraham, MA) paced WPI by notching 24 assists and registering an impressive six kills in six attempts while leading the Engineers to a 3-0 victory over Bay Path in non-conference women's volleyball action on Thursday evening. The Boynton Hillers won by game scores of 30-14, 30-14, and 30-17.

With the win, the Crimson and Gray improve to 7-12 while the Wildcats slip to 2-7.

Leading the way for WPI was middle hitter Christina Grant (Mansfield, MA) who tallied 10 kills while Kate Woodman (Fairfield, CT) chipped in with a team-high six digs and eight kills. Croteau was also impressive serving the ball as she compiled an eye-popping seven aces for the Engineers.

Both teams play road matches on Saturday. The Engineers will face-off versus Mitchell at 1pm while Bay Path will pair up against Maine Farmington and Husson in a tri-match in Bangor, ME. Action is scheduled to start at10am.
