Football Turning The TablesThis week is when the heavy hitters come front and center in the D-II Football Championship. The Nos. 1 and 2 seeds in each region are back in action Saturday, including perennial power Grand Valley State.
Division III W. Volleyball La Verne Tops No. 1 JuniataLa Verne took down the nation's No. 1 team by delivering a 3-2 triumph over Juniata in the semifinals Friday at the Shirk Center in Bloomington, Illinois. The Leopards will face Emory for the national title at 8 pm ET Saturday.
Cross Country D-II At The LineRegional champions have been crowned and now it's time for the best in Division II to shine on the big stage when the D-II Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships start Saturday from Slippery Rock University.
Field Hockey The Collegeville FourOnly four teams remain in the D-III Tournament and three of the faces are very familiar. Bowdoin, taking on 2006 champ Ursinus, looks to defend its 2007 title. On the other side, Messiah comes in with six national runner-ups to its name, taking on upstart Tufts.
Cross Country D-III ReadyThe NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced earlier this week the team and individual qualifiers for the 2008 Division III Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships, hosted by Hanover College. It all starts Saturday.
