Women's Soccer Defeats Newbury 10-0

Worcester, MA --- Elisabeth Glasson (Worcester, MA), Sabrina Zayas (Canton, MA), Nicole DeCampo (Stoneham, MA) and Katie Partridge (Worcester, MA) all notched their first career goals as host WPI defeated Newbury 10-0 in non-conference women's soccer action on Tuesday evening.  With the win, the Crimson and Gray improves to 4-5 while Newbury slips to 0-6.

Kristen Garza (Kingston, MA) scored four goals and Jocelyn Moody (Bainbridge Island, WA) tacked on a pair of scores as the Engineers scored three goals in the final 5:33 of the first half to help take a 4-0 lead into the locker room at intermission.

DeCampo and Abaigeal Caras (Essex, MA) would share time in net as the Engineers posted their second shutout of the season.  DeCampo was called upon to make one save in her 45 minutes of work. Newbury keeper Machaela Lynch (Attleboro, MA) was outstanding in the net, tallying 14 saves on the night for the Hawks.

WPI will return to NEWMAC action on Saturday when they travel to South Hadley to face Mount Holyoke at 11:00am. Newbury also plays again on Saturday, hosting Southern Vermont at 1:30pm.
