Worcester, MA --- The WPI baseball team's NEWMAC opening doubleheader scheduled for Saturday at Springfield has been postponed due to frozen and wet field conditions.  The two teams will now meet on Sunday, March 30th.  An official start time will be announced early next week. 

The Engineers (7-5) were hoping to host Westfield State on Friday afternoon in a make-up of a game postponed earlier in the week, but similar field conditions in Worcester deemed the field unplayable.

Next week will be a busy week for WPI.  The Crimson and Gray are scheduled to host Becker on Monday and travel to Fitchburg State on Tuesday before hosting Worcester State on Thursday.  The weekend feature a pair of NEWMAC doubleheaders including a trip down Park Ave to face Clark on Saturday and Sunday's remake at Springfield.
