Worcester, MA --- Pitchers Conor Fahey (Cumberland, RI) and Brian Duncan (West Suffield, CT) combined to limit Becker to just two hits as WPI defeated the Hawks 10-2 in non-conference baseball action on Monday afternoon.  The Engineers are now 8-5 on the season while the Hawks drop to 2-8.

WPI took an early lead in the first inning when Scott McNee (Falmouth, MA) smashed a two-run homer.  The junior had a stellar game, going 3-for-5 on the day with three runs scored.

Fahey did not allow a run while improving to 4-0 for the season.  The junior notched eight strikeouts and walked just two.  Duncan did not allow a hit over final four innings en route to picking up his second save on the season.  The senior amassed two strikeouts on the day.

Becker scored its only two runs in the sixth inning when Kevin Robinson (Pittsfield, MA) and Jim Ceglarek (Chicago, IL) crossed the plate.  Karrone Stanely (West Haven, CT) had a solid game, collecting both Hawks hits.  Pitcher Errick Maddern (W. Haven, CT) took the loss for Becker, yielding five earned runs over five innings to drop to 0-3 on the year.

Both teams return to action on Tuesday afternoon.  WPI will host Fitchburg State at 3:30pm in a game moved from FSC due to field conditions.  Becker will venture to UMass Dartmouth for a 3pm contest against the Corsairs.
