McNee Selected to the All-New England Baseball Team

Medford, MA --- WPI junior outfielder Scott McNee (Falmouth, MA) has been named to the second team of this year's New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association Division III Baseball team as announced by NEIBA publicist Paul Sweeney.
The award caps an outstanding season for McNee, who two weeks ago was the first Engineer to be honored as the NEWMAC Player of the Year in the 10-year history of the conference.
This season McNee batted 386 with nine home runs, 12 doubles, 48 runs batted in and five stolen bases. A two-time conference Player of the Week selection, McNee finished the season leading the NEWMAC in homers, RBI and slugging percentage (.746) while placing third in batting average and total bases (85). He led the Crimson and Gray in base hits (44) and on-base percentage (.489).
McNee was one of six players from the NEWMAC tabbed for All-NEIBA honors. Trinity led all New England team's with eight players chosen (seven on the first team) which included NEIBA Pitcher of the Year Tom Kiely (Swampscott, MA). Junior shortstop Chris Burleson (Portland, ME) of Southern Maine was the top choice for NEIBA Player of the Year while Trinity head coach Bill Decker was this year's Coach of the Year.
WPI finished their season with a 16-17-1 record and 5-7 in the NEWMAC. The Boynton Hillers were eliminated in the conference tournament by second-seeded and eventual champion Wheaton and top-seed Babson
