Babson Park, MA --- Junior outfielder Matt Moreau (Manchester, NH) was named the NEWMAC Player of the Week, while senior pitcher Conor Fahey (Cumberland, RI) was named NEWMAC Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 22. The honor is Moreau's first career NEWMAC Player of the Week award, while Fahey took home the Pitcher of the Week honor for the second time in three weeks this season.

Moreau registered a hit in all four WPI contests last week, en route to posting a .429 batting average with seven runs batted in. He began his week by coming off the bench and going 2-for-2 including the game-winning RBI double in the top of the ninth inning of a 2-1 road win at Johnson & Wales. The following day the junior helped the Engineers rally from a 7-0 deficit by belting a two-run homer and three-run homer in a 14-8 victory at Fitchburg State. He capped off his week by collecting a hit in each game of the Engineers' doubleheader with Clark.

Fahey, a three-time NEWMAC All-Conference selection, earned his 20th career victory and picked up his first career save during a 3-1 week for the Engineers. The senior faced just three batters over the minimum in a 5-0 complete game shutout in the night cap of a doubleheader of Clark. Fahey scattered three hits while striking out 10 and walking just one. It marked the second time this season and seventh time in his career that he reached double figures in strikeouts. Earlier in the week, the right-hander worked around an error and a passed ball to leave the tying run at third base in the ninth inning of a 2-1 road win at Johnson & Wales.

WPI baseball saw its home game with Becker on Monday postponed to Friday.  First pitch is slated for 3:30pm.   The Crimson and Gray return to the diamond on Wednesday with a 3:30pm home game versus Nichols.
