Worcester, MA --- WPI linebacker Matt Boudreau has been named Liberty League Co-Defensive Player of the Week and ECAC Northwest Division III Co-Defensive Player of the Week. He shared the Liberty League honors with Ryan McConville of St. Lawerence and ECAC accolades with Marcus Maroney of Utica.

The sophomore linebacker from Rensselaer, NY led all players with 16 tackles in a 28-27 loss to Union on Saturday. He amassed 13 solo tackles to go along with a forced fumble and a pass breakup. His forced fumble led to a Union turnover while the Dutchmen were in driving in WPI territory.

The Engineers are currently 2-3 after a heartbreaking 28-27 loss to national power Union last Saturday on homecoming. After a week off, WPI will host Rochester at noon on Saturday, October 21st.
