Quarterback Rob Pantalone selected Liberty League Player of the Week

Canton, NY --- WPI senior quarterback Rob Pantalone has selected Liberty League Co-Offensive Player of the Week after accounting for 404 yards of total offense and five touchdowns in a 40-14 road win over Worcester State on Friday evening.
Pantalone, a native of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, amassed a career-high 140 yards on the ground on just 13 carries including a 71-yard touchdown scamper to open up the scoring in the first half and a 27-yard scoring dash that gave WPI the lead for good late in the third quarter. As a passer, Pantalone was 16 for 26 for 264 yards and three touchdowns were sent to senior tight end Mike Butler. His passing touchdowns were from 22, 5, and 80 yards, and he did not throw an interception on the day.
It marks the second straight week Pantalone has been named Liberty League Co-Offensive Player of the Week. This week he shared the honor with Hobart senior quarterback Andrew Strom. After two games Pantalone leads the Liberty League in passing offense (506 yards) total offense (667 yards) and touchdowns (8).
WPI plays its next game at home versus Becker on Saturday at the newly renovated Alumni Field. The kickoff is scheduled for 2pm.
