Mike Butler Selected to D3Football.com Team of the Week

Mike Butler

Centerville, MA --- Senior tight end Mike Bulter (Athol, MA) has been named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week after he caught eight catches for a career-high 180 yards and three touchdowns in WPI's 40-14 win Friday night over cross town rival Worcester State.

Butler was instrumental to the Engineer air attack.  He helped senior quarterback Rob Pantalone (Camp Hill, PA) pass for 246 passing yards and caught half of his 16 completions on the night.  Butler collected scores of 22, 5, and 80 yards in the win.

In his standout four-year career, Butler has amassed 110 receptions for 1,607 yards and 11 touchdowns.  2007 marks his first year at tight end after three seasons as a wide receiver.

WPI plays its next game at home on Saturday at Alumni Field versus Becker.  Kickoff will be at 5pm.
