Canton, NY --- Freshman defensive lineman Hal Reader (Bel Air, MD) has been selected Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Week after his three sacks helped lead WPI to a 35-0 victory over the US Merchant Marine Academy.

Reader, who has not tallied a sack in his first three games, totaled 17 yards for a loss as he helped the Engineers post their first shutout in 29 games. Their last shutout came on September 18, 2004 versus Husson.

On the season, Reader has six tackles and is tied for third on the team in tackles for a loss with three.

Reader shared the award with Chris Coney of Union

The Boynton Hillers play their next game versus Hobart in their annual homecoming game at 1pm. The newly renovated Alumni Field will be dedicated at halftime.
