Canton, NY --- Freshman Manny Cambra has been selected as the Liberty League Co-Rookie of the week after his preformance in WPI's 45-35 loss this past Saturday to Hobart 45-35.

Cambra, a native of Bethel, CT, was outstanding this past weekend as he rushed for 151 yards (on 18 rushes) and scored three touchdowns. Cambra scored his first touchdown on WPI's first play from the line of scrimmage on a 75-yard scamper. His other two scores were a five-yard run in the third quarter and a one-yard plunge in the fourth.

In his rookie season, Cambra is second on the team with 204 rushing yards and three touchdowns, respectively.

This week he shares the honors with Union running back Chris Coney.

The Crimson and Gray continue Liberty League play this Saturday as they travel to Union. The game is scheduled for a 1pm kickoff.
