Johnson Tabbed to Play in Division III Field Hockey All-Star Game
Chandler, AZ --- WPI tri-captain Kelly Johnson has been selected to play in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Senior All-Star game. The contest is set to be played on Sunday, November 22nd at 9:30am at NEWMAC member Mount Holyoke. The game is in conjunction with the NCAA Division III semifinals and championships.

Field Hockey Falls to Springfield in NEWMAC Tournament
Springfield, MA --- The Springfield field hockey team took its first step to defending its conference crown as it used a four-goal second half to defeat WPI in a NEWMAC Tournament Quarterfinal on Saturday. Fifth-seeded WPI sees its record dip to 11-6. The Engineers, who were in a four-way for second place in the NEWMAC, await word a week from Monday on a possible ECAC bid.

Linskey's Heroics Propel Field Hockey Past Babson
Babson Park, MA --- Junior Meghan Linskey scored the game-winning goal with 3:56 left in regulation to lift the visiting WPI field hockey team to a stunning 3-2 victory over host Babson College in the final game of the NEWMAC regular season Tuesday night. Allie Griffin started and made seven saves in the first half, while Elizabeth Ray entered the game to start the second half and stopped 11 shots.

Field Hockey Falls to NEWMAC Rival Springfield
Springfield, MA --- Springfield wasted no time scoring the first goal of the game just 1:50 in the contest. On the game’s first penalty corner, WPI netminder Allie Griffin made an initial save on Karah Heald’s shot on the doorstep. Becca Gamble collected the rebound and beat Griffin between the legs for what would prove to be the game winner. Elizabeth Ray played the final 35 minutes for the Engineers, allowing one goal and making one save.
