Worcester, MA --- WPI senior Antoine Coleman (Everett, MA) has been named a third team 2008 State Farm Division III All-American as selected by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).  It marks the second straight year that a member of head coach Chris Bartley's squad has been honored.  In 2007, Ryan Cain (Webster, MA) also was selected to the third team.

Coleman, the NEWMAC Player of the Year, led the Engineers in scoring (14.5 ppg) and rebounding (6.0 rpg).  The senior forward has his best offensive season while also adding 40 steals, 38 assists and 14 blocks.  Coleman was a two-time first-team All-NEWMAC selection and just this past week earned his second straight third team D3hoops.com All-Northeast honor.

WPI captured the NEWMAC regular season during all four of his seasons as the senior trio of Coleman, Jim Marois (Worcester, MA) and Ryan Bourque (Nashua, NH) were an eye-popping 41-7 in conference regular season contests including 22-2 the past two seasons.

During the 2007-2008 campaign, the Engineers posted a 21-6 overall record and an 11-1 mark in regular season conference play, four games ahead of its closest rival.  The Crimson and Gray earned a coveted at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championships before dropping a tight 80-75 decision to 2006 national champion and 2007 finalist Virginia Wesleyan in the first round.
