Coleman and Marois Named to NEBCA D3 Senior All-Star Game

Worcester, MA --- Senior forwards Antoine Coleman (Everett, MA) and Jim Marois (Worcester, MA) were chosen to compete in the 2008 New England Basketball Coaches Association (NEBCA) Division III Senior All-Star Game which took take place at Babson College on Sunday, April 13. This game was designed to showcase some of the most skilled players in the region. The rosters were selected by several committees made up of area college coaches.
Coleman is a State Farm Division III All-American as selected by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). In addition to this, he also was the NEWMAC Player of the Year. In his 2007-2008 campaign, Coleman led the Engineers in scoring (14.5 ppg) and rebounding (6.0 rpg). The senior forward had his best offensive season while also adding 40 steals, 38 assists and 14 blocks. Coleman was a two-time first-team All-NEWMAC selection and also earned two- straight third team D3hoops.com All-Northeast honors.
Marois had an amazing senior year for the Engineers. The Worcester native averaged 13.8 points, while grabbing 5.2 rebounds per game. He led the team in free-throw percentage (81%) while averaging a team-best 27 minutes per game.
The senior class composed of Coleman, Marois and Ryan Bourque (Nashua, NH) lead the team to a 21-7 overall record for the year while posting a 11-1 NEWMAC conference record. Over the four years, they brought the engineers to four NEWMAC and Division III NCAA tournament appearances and two NEWMAC championships while posting an incredible 41-7 record in conference regular season contests.
