Antoine Coleman Named Men's Basketball Preseason All American

Worcester, MA --- WPI senior Antoine Coleman has been named a preseason All-American by D3Hoops.com. He joins Ryan Cain (2006-2007) as the second player under seventh-year head coach Chris Bartley to receive a preseason All-American honor.
Coleman, a forward from Everett, MA was first team All-NEWMAC last year while appearing on the second team as a sophomore. A year ago Coleman was also named to the D3Hoops.com All-New England third team.
The senior forward enters the 2007-08 season with 888 career points, 522 total rebounds, 73 blocks in 80 games. Last year, Coleman tallied 314 points, 167 rebounds while helping WPI to a 22-4 mark.
The Engineers have become a regional and national contender during Coleman's career. The Crimson and Gray have had an impressive 69-12 (.852) record the past three seasons with three NEWMAC regular season championships, two NEWMAC Tournament titles and appearances in each of the last three NCAA Division III championships.
WPI opens up their season when they travel to Nichols next Friday in the Worcester County Classic. They will play the Bison in the first round at 7pm.
