Antoine Coleman selected as NEWMAC Player of the Week

Babson Park, MA --- WPI forward Antoine Coleman has been named NEWMAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending December 2.
Coleman, a native of Everett, MA, averaged 20 points and 5.3 rebounds while helping the Engineers to two victories in three contests last week. He paced all scorers with 23 points in an 85-80 road loss at three-time NCAA Tournament participant Elms. Coleman followed up that performance with a game-high 24 points, including 14 in the second half, to lead the Crimson and Gray past Endicott 77-67. He capped off his fine week by tallying 13 points to reach the 1,000 career point milestone as the Boynton Hillers knocked off previously undefeated Fitchburg State 105-67. Coleman, who dished out a career-best five assists versus the Falcons, connected on 21-34 (61.8%) field goal attempts on the week.
Coleman has been averaging a team-high 16.1 points and 6.7 rebounds on the season. He was honored in the pre-season with an All American selection by D3Hoops.com.
WPI has an overall record of 5-2 and will play their final game before the Christmas holiday as they travel to Dorchester, MA for a 7:30pm match-up versus Umass Boston.
