Robinson, Nadeau, Perez and Carr Spark Men's Basketball to Victory
Worcester, MA --- Juniors Jeffrey Robinson and Kyle Nadeau combined for 33 first half points to propel WPI to a 93-61 triumph over visiting Wheaton in NEWMAC men’s basketball action on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Fernando Perez tallied 14 of his 16 points in the second half while classmate Matt Carr collected his first career double-double.

Etten Named First Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All District
Worcester, MA --- WPI men's basketball student-athlete Ben Etten has been selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I first team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (Co-SIDA). Etten, who now advances to the national ballot for All-American consideration, is one of five players who were selected to the first team in the College Division, which is comprised of NCAA Division II and III and NAIA programs in New England, New York and Eastern Canada.

Late Rally Falls Short as Men's Basketball Tripped Up by MIT
Worcester, MA --- Noel Hollingsworth led all players with 21 points to pace nationally-ranked MIT to a hard-fought 74-66 victory over host WPI in a NEWMAC men’s basketball contest on Saturday afternoon. After WPI had rattled off six straight points to draw within three at 67-64 with just under a minute remaining, Hollingsworth calmly drained a layup to beat the shot clock and the visitors canned 5-of-6 free throws in the final 20 seconds.

Men's Basketball Can't Climb Out of Early Hole in League Loss at Babson
Babson Park, MA --- Babson used a suffocating defensive effort en route to a 72-58 victory over visiting WPI in a NEWMAC men's basketball contest at Staake Gymnasium on Wednesday night. Jeffrey Robinson scored 19 second half points and Fernando Perez grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds for the Engineers, who dropped to 14-4 overall and 3-3 in the NEWMAC.
