Worcester, MA --- Men’s Crew competed against UMass and URI on Worcester’s Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday. 

The varsity eight of Connor McGrath (Troy, NY), Scott Gary (Lubbock, TX), Neil Lettenberger (Oakland, ME), Andrew Sandefer (New Orleans, LA), Nick Vitello (Tolland, CT), Paul Beckwith (Worcester, MA), Tobin McGee (Rye, NY), Berk Birand (Istanbul, Turkey) and coxswain Amanda Gagne (Fitchburg, MA) rowed to a third place finish (6:12.30) while the second varsity eight of Joseph Sceviour (Canton, MA), Sebastien Cohn (Ordinda, CA), Arthur Gager (Kennebunk, ME), Max French (Harwinton, CT), Jeff Onderdunk (Colechester, CT), Roddy Taylor (Spring Valley, CA), Burak Derkunt (Istanbul, Turkey), Rob McNamee (Fort Fairfield, ME) and coxswain Bethany Bouchard (Nashua, NH) defeated URI by nearly thirty seconds to finish first with their time of 6:25.96. 

The varsity four combination of Bouchard, McGrath, Gary, Vitello and Sandefer rowed to a victory over UMass with a time of 7:18.24. 

Men’s crew prepares to compete at the New England Championships on May 5th and 6th. The varsity eight is seeded seventh while the second varsity eight is seeded sixth.  Other seeds include a third seed for the novice four, a second seed for the second novice four and a fifth seed for the third varsity eight.
