Worcester, MA --- WPI senior stroke Hank Moore has been accepted to St. Edmund's College at Cambridge University starting in the fall of 2011.

Moore, a civil engineering major at WPI, will study real estate development and finance.  He will also be trying out for the Cambridge University Boat Club and hopes to earn a seat in the "Blue Boat" that races Oxford every spring.  The "Boat Race", first rowed in 1829, ranks among the premier sporting events in Britain.

Moore has had a distinguished rowing career at WPI.  He made the varsity eight as an inexperienced freshman, raced in The Temple Challenge Cup at The Henley Royal Regatta in 2009, won a medal at the New England Rowing Championships and in The Collegiate Eight at the Head of The Charles.  He was also a member of WPI's Collegiate Four that won the Head of The Charles in 2010, and is co-captain of this year's crew.

In the summer of 2010, Moore rowed the US under 23 pair at The World Championships in Belarus with teammate Ben Johnson. He will make another attempt to make the US U23 team this summer.

Moore and his teammates kickoff the 2011 spring season on Saturday when the Engineers host The Class of 2003 Cup. The regatta includes Wesleyan, Colby, UMass and Middlebury.
