Babson Park, MA --- For the second time in three weeks, freshman forward Jason Hopkins (Mendon, MA) has been named NEWMAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week.    

Hopkins used his head to help WPI open NEWMAC conference action with a key home victory over Coast Guard.  The rookie notched a pair of goals off headers, the last of with 3:08 remaining in the game, to lift the Engineers to a dramatic 2-1 win versus the Bears.  Both of his goals were set up directly by long throw-ins from sophomore Kevin Ducharme (Bedford, MA) 

Hopkins, who has scored in six of WPI's seven contests, has a NEWMAC-best eight goals on the year.

WPI is back in action on Thursday with a 7pm road contest at Rivier.  The Engineers return to NEWMAC play Saturday at home when they entertain Springfield at 6pm.
