Wellesley, MA --- WPI Softball will have to wait one more day to begin play in the 2009 NEWMAC Softball Championship tournament, as today's game vs. third-seeded Clark at Wellesley College has been postponed due to wet field conditions. The heavy rains over the last 24 hours have left the field unplayable, but the tournament should be able to resume on Thursday with better weather in the forecast.

The sixth-seeded Engineers will take on Clark at 2:30pm on Thursday, and could potentially play host Wellesley at 5pm with a win over the Cougars. A loss would push WPI into a 12pm second-round game at Coast Guard in this year's double-elimination NEWMAC Tournament.
