Brandeis 156, WPI 105

Worcester, MA --- The WPI Women's Swimming and Diving team dropped a 156-105 decision to Brandeis on Saturday.  With the loss, the Engineers fall to 1-7 on the season.

Despite the loss, WPI turned in several strong performance highlighted by Amanda Jenkin's (Columbia, CT) two first place finishes in the 1000 yard freestyle (11:47.70) and 500 yard freestyle (5:49.13).  Jodi Lowell (Ledyard, CT) earned the top spot in the 100 yard butterfly (1:15.94) while teammates Morgan Guardino (Manchester, CT) and Rachael Buteau (Cherry Valley, MA)  placed first (2:42.17) and second (2:50.52) in the 200 yard IM, respectively.  Hallie Schiess (Wilmont, NH) turned in a pair of strong performances taking second place in both the 100 yard backstroke (1:09.72) and 100 yard freestyle (1:00.74).  Guardino rounded out her day diving to second place finishes in one meter (225.40) and three meter (220.50) diving.

WPI will compete at the Worcester City Championships held at Holy Cross beginning on Friday at 6:00pm.
