Joel Rousseau and Jeffrey Meyer to Compete at NCAA Men's Swimming Championships

Worester, MA -- Jeffrey Meyer (Denver, CO) learned Monday that he will be joining teammate Joel Rousseau (Pittsfield, MA) this weekend at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Houston, TX.  It is the first time in WPI Men's Swimming history that the program will be sending two athletes to one championship. 

The meet will begin on Thursday, March 15th and concludes on Saturday, March 17th.  Meyer will be competing in the 500-yard freestyle on Thursday, the 400-yard IM on Friday and the 1650-yard freestyle on Saturday.  Rousseau, a three-time All-American, will participate in the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke on Friday and the 200-yard backstroke on Saturday.

The Engineers are coached by Paul Bennett, who is in his third season.  WPI finished with an 8-2 record in dual meets and placed 4th at the NEWMAC Championships.
