Schiess and O'Sullivan Swim Strong at NEWMAC Championships

Wellesley, MA --- Women's Swimming and Diving finished up competition on Sunday at the three-day NEWMAC Championships at Wellesley College and picked up a tenth place finish. 

Junior Karen O'Sullivan (Pelham, NH) highlighted the fay for the Engineers, with a seventh place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke.  Senior Hallie Schiess (Wilmont, NH) swam to 15th place in the 200-yard backstroke (1:22.64).  The duo then teamed with Amanda Jenkins (Columbia, CT) and Chelsea Bierkan (Allison Park, PA) to place ninth in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:55.17).

Earlier in the day sophomore Morgan Guardino (Manchester, CT) registered 348.15 points to finish ninth in the three-meter diving event.  She narrowly missed the finals in the event.   Guardino will find out in the next few days if she will be selected to participate in the NCAA Division III Championships in mid March.
