WPI Women's Swimming and diving places fourth at Wesleyan Invitational

Middletown, CT - Junior Karen O’Sullivan (Pelham, NH) tallied 65 points to help lead the Engineers to a fourth place finish at the two-day Wesleyan Invitational.  WPI scored 461 points while host Wesleyan won the meet with 1312 points. 

O’Sullivan took second in the 50-yard breaststroke (34.00) and third place in the 200-yard IM (2:25.54), 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.29) and100-yard IM (1:07.73).  O’Sullivan was also a part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team, combining with Kelsey Thomas (Webster, NY), Chelsea Bierkan (Allison Park, PA) and Amanda Jenkins (Columbia, CT) to place fifth with their time of 1:52.68. 

On the diving side, sophomore Morgan Guardino (Manchester, CT) registered 205.95 points to win the three-meter event before finishing second in the one meter (223.12). 

Women’s swimming and diving will compete at Keene State on December 8th beginning at 1pm.
