Men's Track and Field Performs Well at Wesleyan Invitational
Middletown, CT --- The WPI Men's Track and Field competed at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday afternoon. WPI had several strong showings, however the meet was non-scoring.
Highlights included Maceo Braxton's (Salina, KS) fourth place finish in the 55 meter (6.55) to qualify him for the ECAC Championships held in early March. Ben Roy (Buxton, ME) grabbed a third place finish in the 55 meter hurdles (8.09) while teammate Joe Krasinskas (Sutton, MA) finished eighth in the 400 meter (52.76). Jeremy Shaw (Hampton, NH) placed third in the 500 meter run (1:09.28) and Chris McCann (Haverhill, MA) took second in the 1000 meter (2:40.89).
Distance runner Kevin Jillson (East Sandwich, MA) finished sixth in the 3000 meter while teammate Alex White (Washington, MI) took fourth in the 5000 meter (16:06.15). Rounding out the day for WPI were pole vaulter Matt Bradley (Atkinson, NH) in second place (12-11.50) and weight thrower Scott Sideleau (Winchendon, MA) in fifth place (47-10.50).
