Women's Track and Field Boasts Several Strong Performances at Wesleyan Invitational

Middletown, CT -- The WPI Women's Track and Field competed at the Wesleyan Invitational Indoor Classic on Saturday.  Although it was a non-scoring meet, WPI turned in several top performances.

Amanda Gurnon's (Tolland, CT) third place finish in the 55 meter hurdles (9.00) qualified her for the ECAC Championships while Megan Murphy (Perkasie, PA) took a second place finish in the 800 meters (2:24.45) to earn a spot at the Division III New England Championships. 

Koren Roach (Plymouth, NH) also qualified for the Division III New England's in the 55 meters (7.83) and 200 meters (28.13).  Meghan Woods (Hanover, MA) ran to a fifth place finish in the one mile run and Amanda Tichy (Norwich, CT) placed sixth in the pole vault (8-03.25).

Women's track and field returns to action on February 3rd when they compete at the Smith Invitational at 10am.
