WPI Men's Indoor Track and Field Performs Well at BU (2/9) and MIT (2/10)

Boston, MA --- The WPI Men's Track and Field had a busy weekend as they competed at the St. Valentine Invitational at Boston University on Friday before running at the MIT Invitational on Saturday.  The Engineers boasted several outstanding performances in both non-scoring meets.

Ben Roy (Buxton, ME), Devin Auclair (Marlborough, MA), and Alex White (Washington, MI) all qualified for the New England Division III Championships while Jeremy Shaw (Hampton, NH) earned a spot at the ECAC Championships.  Roy (22.13) and Auclair (22.32) qualified in the 200 meter dash while White earned a spot in the one mile run (4:24.27).  Shaw will be competing in the 500 meter dash after earning a time of 1:06.57 this weekend. 

At the MIT meet, the men's distance medley relay team secured a spot at the ECAC's with their time of 10:29.30.  Kevin Jillson (East Sandwich, MA) turned in a strong performance with his third place finish in the 3000 meter run (9:11.1) and fifth place finish (16:11.6) in the 5000 meter. 

Several members of the Men's Track and Field team will compete at the New England Division III Championships held Friday and Saturday at Bates College.
