WPI Men's Indoor Track and Field Finishes 17th at New England Division III Championships

Lewiston, ME --- Several members of the WPI Men's Track and Field team competed at the New England Division III Championships at Bates College.  The Engineers finished 17th at the meet while Williams placed first.

Maceo Braxton (Salina, KS) highlighted the meet for WPI as he ran to a second place finish in the 55 meter dash.  His time of 6.46 was a NCAA provisional qualifier.  Jeremy Shaw (Hampton, NH) placed fifth in the 600-meter run with his time of 1:24.44.  Joe Krasinskas (Sutton, MA) picked up 12th place finish in the 400-meter dash (51.86) before finishing 17th in the pentathlon (2230).

Alex White (Washington, MI) ran to a tenth place finish in the one mile run (4:26.65) and finished 13th in the 1000-meter run (2:37.41).  Pole vaulter Matt Bradley (Atkinson, NH) finished 13th (12-06) while Scott Sideleau (Winchendon, MA) earned a tenth place finish (47-10) in the weight throw.

Men's Track and Field returns to action on March 2nd when they compete at the ECAC Championships held at Wesleyan University.
