Oshkosh, WI --- Jarrett Arredondo (Somerville, MA) placed 11th in the hammer throw on day two of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Wisconsin-Oshkosh.  The sophomore's first throw of the day was his best, traveling 59.21 meters or 169-11 feet.

Arredondo threw three times on the night, narrowly missing the top nine, who got three additional tosses and the top eight who earned All-American honors.  The event was won by senior Mark O'Connell of St. Thomas (MN) while Arredondo was the third highest finisher from New England.  The performance capped a season that saw him win three of four regular season meets before placing third at the NEWMAC Championships, fifth at New England Division III Championships and third at the ECAC Championships.

Javelin thrower Jeff Baker (Wallingford, CT) takes center stage for the Engineers on Saturday.  The freshman is seeded 11th in the event, which is scheduled for a 1pm eastern start.
