Woods, Hegerty, Rocheleau and Rudolf Shine for Women's Track

Boston, MA --- Women's indoor track competed at the MIT Co-ed Invitational on Saturday and while there was no team scoring, several WPI athletes turned in strong performances.
Junior Meghan Woods (Hanover, MA) brought home the top finish for the Engineers with her third place finish in the one mile run (5:16.99). With her third place finish, Woods qualified for the New England Division III Championships on February 23rd. Sophomore Beth Hegarty (Springfield, MA) picked up with a fourth place finish in the 3000 meter run while Anne Rocheleau (Shrewsbury, MA) placed fourth in the 800 meter run with her time of 2:32.82. Sophomore Stacy Rudolf (Somers, CT) was all over the board grabbing fourth place in the high jump (4-09.75), sixth place in the 800 meter run (2:38.48) and an eighth place finish in the 55 meter hurdles (10.06).
Other top performances included Amanda Gurnon (Tolland, CT) in the 55 meter hurdles (7th; 10.03), Elizabeth Schreiber (Ashfield, MA) in the 400 meter dash (7th; 1:04.64), Danielle Volpe (Chelmsford, MA) in the 400 meter dash (9th; 1:05.05) and Catie Casey (Plymouth, MA) in the 3000 meter run (12:16.24).
Select members of the women's track and field team will be competing at the New England Division III Championships at Smith College.
