Cambridge, MA -- WPI Women's Track and Field tallied 42.5 points to finish third at the Engineers Cup Meet held at MIT on Saturday afternoon.  Sophomore Krista Baker (Medford, MA tallied WPI's lone victory of the day with a win in the discus (115-08) and also finished fifth in the shotput (30-08.25).  

Classmate Stacy Rudolf (Somers, CT) jumped to second place in the high jump (4-11.75) before running to fourth place in the 100 meter hurdles (17.71).  Senior Amanda Tichy (Norwich, CT) finished third in the pole vault (8-06.25) while sophomores Beth Hegarty (Springfield, MA) and Anne Rocheleau (Shrewsbury, MA) combined to take third (5:26.54) and fourth (5:27.29) in the 1500 meter, respectively. 

Other top finishes included Liz Schreiber (Ashfield, MA) in the 400 meter run (3rd; 1:03.97), Phoebe Riley (Pomfret, CT) in the 100 meter dash (5th; 14.17) and Megan Murphy (Perkasie, PA) in the 800 meter run (4th; 2:21.37).  

Women's Track returns to the track on Saturday when they take on Coast Guard and Springfield at Norcross Track.
