Krasinskas Paces Men's Track and Field at All-New Englands

Amherst, MA --- WPI Men's Track and Field finished in 29th place at the All-New England Outdoor Championships at UMass Amherst this afternoon. Rhode Island took home the meet title, earning 103 points throughout the two day event.
Worcester's Joe Krasinskas led the Engineers with his third place finish (54.44) in the 400 meter hurdles. Fran Collins (Springfield, MA) tossed the discus 140-09 which was good enough for tenth while teammate Keith Flanders (Westford, MA) crossed the finish line 26th (10:00.32) in the 3000 meter steeplechase. Jeff Baker (Wallingford, CT) posted a 180-05 mark in the javelin to finish in 12th.
In preliminary races, Matt Whitman (Holden, MA) finished 10th (11.08) in the 100 meter dash, Alan Mann (Westminster, MA) captured 24th (50.55) in the 400 meter dash and Ben Roy (Buxton, ME) dashed to a 15.74 finish in the 110 hurdles to earn 13th place.
Men's Track and Field will compete at the ECAC Championships on May 15th at Springfield College. The event is set to start at 11am.
