New Orleans, LA --- First-year head coach Brian Chabot was among 16 coaches honored by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as a regional Coach of the Year on Monday afternoon.
The USTFCCCA selects the top track athlete, field athlete, head

region.
Chabot was named the NEWMAC's Men's Coach of the Year after leading
the Engineers to a runner-up finish at the conference
championships. WPI followed up the second place team finish with a

Engineers also took home the top prize at the Worcester City Meet
in March and the Eric Loeschner Memorial Meet hosted by Fitchburg
State in April.
Chabot has four student-athletes with NCAA qualifying marks, including Jarrett Arredondo (Somerville, MA) in the hammer, Jeff Baker (Wallingford, CT) in the javelin, Kyle Morette (Leominster, MA) in the pole vault and Ben Roy (Buxton, ME) in the decathlon.
