Baker Leads Women's Track and Field at All-New Englands

Amherst, MA --- Women's Track and Field competed at the two-day All-New England Outdoor Championships hosted by UMass Amherst. Boston College came away with the meet title, amassing 87 points at the event.
Krista Baker (Medway, MA) paced the Crimson and Gray with an 11th place (123-03) finish in the discus and the 19th spot (143-05) in the hammer throw.
Also representing WPI was Emily Pearce (Avon, CT) who registered a distance of 4-08.75 in the pole vault to take home 15th.
In relay action, the 4x400 team combined to cross the line in 4:19.36 and finish in 15th place.
Women's Track and Field will be competing at the ECAC Championships at Springfield College on May 15th. The first event is slated to begin at 11am.
