Dangelo, Deschene and Salvatori Pickup All-NEWMAC Women's Basketball Academic Honors
Babson Park, MA --- Three WPI women's basketball student-athletes have been named to the 2007-08 NEWMAC Women's Basketball All-Academic team. The Engineers were tied for the second most in the conference with Clark while Babson had the most with four athletes. Amber Dangelo, Natasha Deschene and Rachel Salvatori were selected to the team.

Selen Earns First Team All-NEWMAC Women's Basketball Honors
Worcester, MA --- WPI's Kaileen Selen has been selected first team All-NEWMAC after voting by the conference's women's basketball coaches today. The sophomore averaged a team-best 12.5 points while leading head coach Cherise Galasso's squad to the NEWMAC Tournament semifinals for the third time in four years.

MIAA Central Mass Boys and Girls Basketball Tournament Info
Worcester, MA --- For over three decades, WPI's Harrington Auditorium has been the proud host of the Central Mass Boys and Girls Basketball Semifinals and Championship games for Division I, II and III. 18 games in seven days will kick off on Sunday, March 2nd and culminate with a single championship contest on Friday March 7th and five championship tilts on Saturday March 8th.

Women's Basketball Rally Falls Short in NEWMAC Semifinals
Norton, MA --- The Wheaton College women's basketball team advanced to its first New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament championship game and initial league title contest in 13 years Saturday, as the top-seeded Lyons defeated fourth seed WPI, 59-53 in a semifinal contest at Emerson Gymnasium.
