Worcester, MA --- The WPI women's crew team competed at the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta on Sunday afternoon. The varsity four of Katie Siering (Sheridan, OR), Bridget Stevens (Cropseyville, NY), Steph Kavrakis (Long Beach, NY), Chelsea Brown (Utica, NY) and coxswain Brie Ledwith (Jericho, VT) led the way for the Crimson and Gray with a time of 17:10.4 and a first place finish for the Engineers. 

The team of Simone Staley (Albany, NY), Colyer Sigety (Tampa, FL), Juliana Wakeman (Saratoga Springs, NY), Mary Hesler (Glastonbury, CT) and cox Shiela Muriel (Long Beach, CA) crossed the finish line in ninth place (18:36.3) while the third varsity four comprised of Nell Nassiff (Columbia, CT), Cailin Folta (Swampscott, MA), Molly Post (Mt. Kisco, NY), Sabrina Sanchez (Lowell, MA) and cox Franny Chichester (Wakefield, RI) placed 13th (23:29.9). 

The varsity eight of Siering, Stevens, Kavrakis, Brown, Staley, Sigety, Wakeman, Hesler and Muriel took home eighth place, posting a time of 18:23.4. 

Women's Crew will compete at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston on October 18th and 19th.
