Women's Novice Eight Places Fourth at Quinsigamond Novice Challenge
Worcester, MA --- The WPI A team crossed the line in 17:33.3,
good enough to finsh ahead of 13 boats for fourth place at the
Quinsigamond Novice Challenge in Worcester on Saturday afternoon.
Trinity's A boat was the race winner, finishing in 16:32.1. UNH and
UConn were second and third, respectively.
The Engineers' boat of Sarah Dinwoodie
(East Greenwich, RI), Caitlin Heindl (Bow, NH),
Amy Loomis (Mahtomedi, MN), Katy
Tongue (Westport, MA), Chelsea Miller
(Zurich, Switzerland), Martha Miller (Fort
Collins, CO), Danielle Morabito (Monroe, CT),
Janneth Velazquez (Riverside, CA) and coxswain
Hannah Pacheco (Garnder, MA) finished ahead
of some tough local competition, including entries from Worcester
rivals Clark and Holy Cross.
Women's Crew will return to action on Sunday at the Head of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga Springs, NY.
