WPI Wrestling Places 13th at NECCWA Championships

Bristol, RI --- WPI sophomore Larry Loomis (Plainfield, CT) garnered All-New England honors at this past weekend's NECCWA Championships held at Roger Williams.  As a team, the Enginners amassed  17.5 points to finish 13th at the conference 

Loomis,wrestling at 174 pounds, turned in an outstanding performance for the Engineers as he wrestled his way to an impressive 4-2 record to take fifth place at the competition. 

Josh Rodden (Sabina, OH) also faired well as he grappled to a 2-2 record with victories at 285 pounds over his opponents from Norwich (9-5) and Johnson & Wales (3-1).  David Laramee (Rockland, MA) registered a pin against a wrestler from Wesleyan (4:37) while Adam Kreitman (Salem, NH), Carl Anderson (Billerica, MA), and Sean Kennedy (Ringwood, NJ) all recorded victories by decision for the Engineers. 

Other competitors for the Crimson and Gray included Roman Walsh (Wilmington, MA) at 141 pounds, Jeff Root (Milford, CT) at 133, Matt Wainwright (North Attleboro, MA) at 149, and Scott Guzman (Acton, ME) at 197.
