WPI Wrestling Finshes 11th at the Roger Williams Invitational

Bristol, RI --- WPI wrestling earned 35.5 points en route to an 11th place finish at the Roger Williams Invitational on Saturday.  The event was the first for new Engineer head coach Lance Baden. 

Sophomore Carl Anderson (Billerica, MA) highlighted the Engineers day by going 5-0 and winning the 125-pound division.  Other strong performances were turned in by 157-pounder Chris Spinelli (Lynnfield, MA), who notched three victories, 149-pounder Matt Wainwright (North Attleboro, MA), who recorded two pins and 133-pounder Jeff Root (Milford, CT) who registered a pair of wins.

Up next, wrestling travels to Oneonta, NY to compete at the Oneonta St. Invitational on Saturday beginning at 9:30am.
