WPI 33, Coast Guard 14

New London, CT --- WPI Wrestling improved to 8-7 on the season with a 33-14 victory at Coast Guard Tuesday evening. Coast Guard falls to 2-9.

The Engineers benefited from a first-round pin from Alex LaBeef (Pomfret, CT) at the 141 pound weight class, as well as decisions from Tyler Howe (Danbury, CT) at 157, Garrett Yablonski (Mt. Sinai, NY) at 197 and Scott Guzman (Acton, ME) at heavyweight to steer WPI to the team win. The Crimson and Gray also won three matches by forfeit to aid their efforts.

WPI Wrestling will travel to New York on Saturday for the NEWA-Metro Conference Duals, hosted by Hunter College. Action gets underway at 12pm.
