Oneonta, NY --- Carl Anderson (Billerica, MA), Rich Wingert (Hyde Park, MA), Tyler Howe (Danbury, CT) and Larry Loomis (Plainfield, CT) all grappled to third place finishes to help the Engineers to an impressive fifth overall finish at the Red Dragon Invitational at Suny-Oneonta on Saturday. 

157-pounder Howe recorded a 5-1 record at the meet with two pins while Anderson and Loomis were both 4-1 with two pins at 125 and 184, respectively.  Wingert finished strong at 133 with a 4-1 mark including a pin and a major decision. 

Alex LaBeef (Pomfret, CT) also had a great day on the mats for the Crimson and Gray, posting a 5-1 record with one pin to take home fifth at 141 pounds. 

Other top performers for WPI included Dan Metcalf (Westerly, RI) at 125 (3-2, 2 pins), Alex Pittera (Salem, NH) at 133 (2-2, 1 pin) and Kenneth Adams (Wilmington, MA) at 149 (2-2, 1 pin). 

WPI Wrestling will return on December 6th when they open their home schedule versus Norwich and RPI beginning at 2pm.
