Loomis Brings Home Second All-New England Wrestling Honor
Gorham, ME --- WPI's Larry Loomis dropped a pair of close decisions on Sunday and finished in sixth place in the 174-pound weight class at the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Championships hosted by Southern Maine. Despite the losses, Loomis picks up All-New England honors for the second straight year.

Loomis, Anderson & Howe Excel for Wrestling at NEWA Championships
Larry Loomis advanced in the 174-pound weight class to lead WPI in the first day of the 2008 NEWA Championships. Loomis recorded a 2-1 record, including a pin, to guarantee himself All New England honors for the second consecutive year. 125-pounder Carl Anderson wrestled his way to a 2-2 record while Tyler Howe registered a 1-2 record while picking up a pin at 157.

Five Pins Helps Earn Spilt in Double-Dual at Roger Williams
Bristol, RI --- Five different WPI wrestlers notched pins to help the Engineers defeat Bryant 30-6 in college wrestling action on Wednesday evening. Earlier in the night, the Crimson and Gray dropped a 38-3 decision to NEWA foe and host Roger Williams. 125-pounder Carl Anderson was WPI's only double winner on the night. The sophomore, who is ranked sixth in New England, ups his record to 18-12.

Wainwright and Howe Win Twice in Wrestling Home Dual Meet
Worcester, MA --- Bridgewater State dominated the upper weight classes in victories over AIC (22-18) and host WPI (23-10) on Saturday. AIC took the other match with a 33-15 victory over WPI. The Engineers got a pair of wins from Matt Wainwrightat 149 pounds and regionally ranked Tyler Howe at 157. Wainwright and Chris Spinelli notched pins versus AIC while Scott Guzman took home a win against BSC at 184.
