Eight WPI Women's Soccer Teammates on the NEWMAC All-Academic Team

Babson Park, MA --- Eight WPI student-athletes have been selected to the 2007-08 NEWMAC Women's Soccer All-Academic Team. The Engineers had the most number of athletes named to the team beating out the other nine institutions in the conference.

Julia Berg (Cambridge, MA), Jocelyn Moody (Bainbridge Island, WA), Meg Pasquali (Laconia, NH), Hilary Rotatori (Auburn, MA), Stacy Rudolf (Somers, CT), Liz Schreiber (Ashfield, MA), Lynn Worobey (Westerly, RI), and Amanda Young (Goffstown, NH) were the players honored representing WPI. Moody, Pasquali, and Young represented the Engineers last year while Worobey has been selected the last two seasons.

Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2007 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at her institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

The NEWMAC consists of 10 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
