      <title>Garza Earns Third Consecutive All-NEWMAC Women's Soccer Honor</title>

      <description>Babson Park, MA --- WPI forward Kristen Garza has been selected to the All-NEWMAC first team based on voting by conference coaches on Tuesday. Garza has now earned the distinction of being named all-conference for the third straight year. The junior has continued to post jaw-dropping scoring numbers for the Engineers.  Already the career leader in goals (38) and points (88), Garza netted 13 goals this fall.</description>

      <title>Taylor and Garza Named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District</title>

      <description>Worcester, MA --- WPI women's soccer student-athletes Hailey Taylor and Kristen Garza have been selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (Co-SIDA).  Taylor earned second team accolades while Garza picked up third team honors. Taylor was tabbed as a defender while Garza, who also was honored in 2008, earned her award as a forward.</description>

The #6 seeded Engineers from Worcester, travelled to Cambridge to take on the #3 seeded MIT. Despite being able to break the defensive line several times, the Crimson and Gray dropped the game 4-0.</description>

Kristen Garza and Liz Tuite added the second and third goals respectively. Rebecca Newman picked up the win in net for WPI.  The freshman recorded two saves en route to leveling her record this season at 7-7.</description>

      <description>Worcester, MA --- Jen Jahoda assisted on a pair of Springfield goals to spark the Pride to a 4-0 shutout over host WPI on Saturday afternoon. Rebecca Newman and Ally Stoyle split time in between the pipes for WPI.  Newman was credited with three saves in the first half while Stoyle turned away four shots in the second half. Suzanne Najem had the best scoring chance for the Crimson and Gray, who were outshot 16-1 on the day.</description>

With the victory, WPI improves to 7-9 the season and 3-4 in league play while Smith falls to 3-10-1 overall and 2-4-1 in the NEWMAC. WPI got on the board early in the 18th minute of play on a goal by Garza.</description>

Rebecca Newman made a career-best 10 saves for WPI while Kristen Garza led the Engineer offense with six shots.</description>

After nearly 43 minutes of scoreless action, the Lyons dented the scoring column with just 2:02 remaining in the first half when Alessia Viscomi successfully converted a PK. Liz Schreiber, Hailey Taylor and Victoria Howland all recorded shots for WPI.</description>

The home field hockey game with Clark will now begin at 10am, while the women's soccer road game at Clark is now scheduled for 11am.
