WPI Volleyball Bounces Back with 3-0 Victory over Bay Path

Worcester, MA --- Setter Jennifer Parker (Rochester, MA) notched match-highs of 28 assists and eight aces as host WPI defeated Bay Path 3-0 on Thursday evening. WPI took the match by scores of 30-16, 30-22 and 30-23.
Nikki Croteau (Wilbraham, MA) led WPI with six kills while Christina Grant (Mansfield, MA) and Sarah Artz (Spring Grove, IL) both tallied five kills while making just one error. Amanda Kent (Stoneham, MA) added a match-best 13 digs for the Engineers.
All 14 WPI players saw action on Thursday as the Crimson and Gray snapped a brief two-match losing streak and improved to 9-10 on the season.
Amanda Bruce (Altamont, NY) paced the Bay Path (0-9) efforts with nine kills. Ashley Cimmino (Westfield, MA) dished out 14 assists while Kristal Cormier (Rochester, NH) registered eight digs for the Wildcats.
WPI will return to action on Tuesday with a home NEWMAC match versus Mount Holyoke at 7pm. Bay Path will travel to Lesley on Saturday where ironically they will not face the Lynx, but take on fellow NAC opponents Husson and Maine Maritime beginning at noon.
